The Incredible Adventures of the Hera mission – The space detectives arrive

ESA has released a new episode of 'The Incredible Adventures of the Hera mission' titled 'The space detectives arrive.' It introduces Hera as an asteroid detective, joined by two CubeSats: Milani, a rock decoder, and Juventas, a radar visionary. Their destination is Didymos, a double asteroid system typical of the thousands that pose an impact risk to Earth.

After a two-year cosmic road trip, Hera and its CubeSat companions have arrived at Didymos and Dimorphos, the first Solar System object to have had its orbit shifted by human action. Suitable for kids and adults alike, the episode explains what ESA's asteroid detective and its CubeSat assistants will be up to once they arrive, and precisely how they will say goodbye to each other so the CubeSats can begin their close-up examination of this historic space rock. It also directs viewers to other episodes in the series.
